In the courtyard of the keep, there are barrack building for 550 soldiers including 34 dwelling rooms heated with ceramic stoves located in the corridor. During the second world war, the building was used as an emergency hospital. Currently it was given a name of Bogusław Domaniewski – a life scientist, fabulist, creator of the exhibition presenting fauna and flora functioning inside the fortress for 30 years of the 20th century.
