You are now at the Kętrzyn Gate, built between 1851 and 1852. On both sides of the entrance you will see shelters and guardhouses. The gate once featured a steel door and a drawbridge. It has numerous architectural ornaments. From the rampart above the gate, to your left, you will see the caponier of the Herman Bastion, and to your right, the caponier of the Leopold Bastion. The view stretches out over the gates, the bridge, the moat and the road leading outside the fortress. In the distance, to your left and right, you will see a semi-caponier.
