Starting from the Water Gate, there is an arched path going upwards. After passing this path we approach rooms of the main gunpowder store built in 1852. Originally two-level building is in a good condition. Still some signs of ceilings and stairs are visible. It had a great ventilation system due to which the gunpowder remained dry. Near the entry to the store, there is another latrine with rooms for officers and crew. Currently there is a shooting range in the rooms of the store.
