Heading forward we approach the Water Gate. It was a passage for supplies provided on barges coming from the Niegocin Lake. However, in 1868, following the construction of the railway track, the canal was buried. Since then, it served as an emergency supply route. The gate featured a drawbridge, which also served as a door. The inscription at the top of the gate says “1853.”
