Next, we go along the postern and enter the Bakery Complex built in years 1853-54. In twelve rooms there were: flour and bread inventories, a power generator (after modernisation), three furnaces for baking bread, an abattoir, the butcher’s and a well. During reservist manoeuvres, the bakery complex served as spare barracks for soldiers appointed for manoeuvres. Up to 1945, the facility was meeting needs of the crew and Giżycko citizens in terms of bread.
